Deputy SENCO (Prep)

To commence September 2024

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to assist the Head of Learning Support (SENCO), Assistant Heads and Director of Studies in the Prep School

To be successful, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, broad knowledge and experience of special educational needs, suitable qualifications for teaching and assessing pupils, and knowledge of access arrangements for examinations. You may already have been a SENCO or might be establishing a career in this field and have other teaching or management experience in schools.

An SpLD qualification at level 5 or higher is desirable.

Deputy SENCO (Prep) Job Description

 

Examinations Access Arrangements Lead

To commence September 2024 or January 2025

We are looking for an organised and efficient specialist assessor to work with the Head of Learning Support and other colleagues to ensure that appropriate exam access arrangements are in place for internal and public examinations.

To be successful you will have a suitable Level 7 or PAPAA qualification and be confident in conducting exam access arrangement assessments and completing the associated documentation.

The right candidate will be an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is capable of working independently, as well as part of a team.

This is a part time role with flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for a Business Teacher to join our Business and Enterprise department at Clayesmore School.

The candidate will have an understanding of what a modern and relevant business curriculum should offer and have the ability and understanding to motivate and inspire pupils and colleagues. The candidate will be required to teach Years 10 and 11 only.

Clayesmore School is located in the village of Iwerne Minster in the shadow of the Iron Age Fort of Hambledon Hill. The breath-taking scenery isn’t really what makes working at Clayesmore a joy. What really makes the school standout is the warmth of the people and the culture and kindness that underpins everything we do. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Second Chef to join our team of talented and experienced staff. Clayesmore prides itself in providing a comprehensive, in-house fresh food service to its pupils and staff.

The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in high volume catering and be flexible, and able to work as part of a team.

This is a great opportunity to work in catering with primarily daytime shifts. Benefits include a non-contributory pension scheme, Death in Service benefits, a free meal each day and free membership of the Clayesmore Sports Facilities. 6 weeks holiday per year plus bank holidays.

Sports Teaching Assistant (Cricket)

Full time, fixed term contract until December 2025

To commence January 2025

An enthusiastic and committed Graduate Assistant with a Level 2 Cricket Coaching qualification and experience of coaching any major team sport, is required on a one year contract.  You will play a full and active role in delivering our exciting sports programme.

The successful candidate will also have or be willing to attend a course for an NPLQ.

This position would suit a recent graduate looking for experience prior to teacher training or seeking a short-term post prior to embarking on another career path. As the role involves some out of hours coaching and attending fixtures accommodation is available if required.

This role requires an enthusiastic, well organised individual with a warm and welcoming nature to assist the House parents in Devine and The Bower two of our boarding houses, and the duties associated with the boarding operation, and to oversee the pastoral wellbeing of all the pupils in their care.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people and an understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities, along with the ability to deal calmly with sensitive situations.

This is a term time role, working 25 hours per week and the hours are 1pm until 6pm Monday to Friday.
