Book A Visit

Senior

Senior

Pupils join a happy, energetic school and quickly find their feet.

We welcome boarding and day pupils into our Senior school at age 13/14 (Year 9) from Prep and primary schools across the local South West, the South East, London and the Home Counties, and overseas. We also have a strong intake from our own Prep school, however, new pupils make up about 50-60% of our intake into Year 9.

Most children who join the school stay with us until the end of Sixth Form. We also welcome enquiries from pupils to join us in Year 10 at the start of their GCSE course.

All students joining the school must have the potential to pass at least 6 GCSEs but many, of course, will pass with high grades in many more.  They may also have other, wider interests in the world around them and we welcome this and encourage it. When they leave, students go on to a wide range of courses and universities – download our list of results and recent destinations.

Our aim is to provide our pupils with the confidence and ambition to achieve success in whatever field they wish to pursue.

We hope you come to visit Clayesmore to experience, first hand, our approach to teaching and pastoral care and find out how we can help your child achieve their academic and personal best.

Clayesmore Governors and Staff

Our Governors and Staff

Clayesmore’s affairs are governed by the Council of Clayesmore, chaired, at the present time by Mrs Rosie Stiven.

The governors represent, between them, a considerable range of skills, interests, professions and backgrounds and include at the present time a number who are former pupils and parents. They all share a very deep commitment to the wellbeing of Clayesmore, its pupils, its staff, and its future. The full Council meets every term as do all its sub-committees.
