Phoebe has reached an exciting milestone in her photography journey, taking on the prestigious roles of Official Photographer and Press Influencer at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) 2026 at just 16 years old.
One of the UK’s biggest equestrian events, HOYS provided Phoebe with an incredible opportunity to capture the atmosphere, excitement and outstanding talent that make the show so special. Among a team of talented and experienced professionals, Phoebe was the only young photographer, making her achievement all the more remarkable.
Reflecting on the experience, Phoebe said: “Being trusted with these roles at such a young age was a huge milestone for me, particularly as I was the only young photographer among so many incredibly talented and experienced photographers.”
The opportunity allowed Phoebe to develop her skills in a professional photography environment, while documenting some of the memorable moments from the show. Working alongside some of the best photographers in the equestrian industry proved both inspiring and invaluable, giving her an insight into the demands and opportunities of professional equestrian photography.
Away from the camera, another highlight was the chance to meet the young people who follow and support her work. Phoebe hosted her own meet and greet, where children queued for over an hour to meet her, a testament to the connection she has built with the equestrian community through her social media presence.
“Seeing the support for my work and the community I have built through my content was an unforgettable experience,” she said.
Phoebe’s growing online presence has enabled her to share her passion for horses and photography with an enthusiastic audience, and her appearance at HOYS was a wonderful opportunity to connect with that community in person.
The photographs Phoebe has selected to accompany this article are some of her personal favourites from the show, each helping to tell the story of an unforgettable experience and capture the atmosphere, excitement and special moments that define HOYS.
Looking back on this remarkable opportunity, Phoebe said: “I am incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity to take on these roles at just 16 and to have gained such valuable experience alongside some of the best photographers in the equestrian industry.”
With her talent, enthusiasm, and growing influence within the horse world, Phoebe’s experience at HOYS 2026 marks an exciting chapter in her photography journey and a fantastic achievement to celebrate.
