Learning begins
Reception is where a lifelong love of learning begins. In our nurturing and stimulating environment, every child is encouraged to explore, discover and grow in confidence at their own pace.
A bespoke covered outdoor learning space, together with the beautiful school grounds, allows children to learn through play and exploration.
Learning is carefully planned through a balance of purposeful play, practical experiences and adult-led teaching, following the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children develop the essential building blocks for reading, writing and mathematics while enjoying music, sport, outdoor learning, Forest School and creative activities that spark curiosity and imagination.
With small class sizes and exceptional pastoral care, every child is known as an individual. We celebrate their strengths, support them through new challenges and help them develop the confidence and enthusiasm to thrive throughout their time at Clayesmore.
