The Admissions Process

Joining Clayesmore follows six clear steps, and our Admissions team will guide you through each one.

   Step 1: Get in touch

   Contact our Admissions team to discuss availability and arrange a visit.

2. 2

   Step 2: Visit Clayesmore

   Meet senior staff, tour the school and experience our community in action.

3. 3

   Step 3: Register

   Complete a registration form and pay the £180 registration fee. We will also ask for your child’s latest school report and any relevant supporting information.

4. 4

   Step 4: Experience Clayesmore

   Prep School pupils are invited to a Taster Day and prospective boarders can enjoy an overnight stay. Applicants for Years 6, 7 and 8 also complete English and Maths assessments.

5. 5

   Step 5: Assessments and references

   Pupils joining Years 9, 10 and 11 complete English and Maths assessments; Sixth Form and scholarship candidates may sit further subject assessments. We also seek a reference from your child’s current Head.

6. 6

   Step 6: Offer and acceptance

   If your family and the School are happy to proceed, we will offer your child a place. To accept, sign the Parent Contract and pay a £1,000 deposit.

If your child has an Educational Psychologist’s report or additional learning needs, please share this with us so that we can ensure appropriate support is in place from the outset. Our Admissions team is always happy to answer any questions and put you in touch with relevant staff.
