Strong foundations
Years 1 and 2 build on the strong foundations established in Reception, gently introducing greater independence and academic challenge while ensuring learning remains engaging, creative and enjoyable.
Children develop confidence in English, mathematics and science through inspiring lessons that encourage curiosity, problem-solving and collaboration. Alongside the core curriculum, they enjoy specialist teaching in subjects including music, PE, art and computing as well as regular opportunities for outdoor learning, swimming, educational visits and enrichment activities.
Our small classes enable teachers to know every child exceptionally well, tailoring learning to meet their individual needs and nurture potential. By the end of Year 2, pupils are confident, resilient and well prepared for the exciting transition into the Prep School.
