Results Days at Clayesmore provided two wonderful opportunities to celebrate the achievements of our students, beginning with our Year 13 students and followed by our Year 11s. We could not be more proud of everything they have accomplished.
Our Year 13 students had plenty to celebrate as they received their A-level results. Their achievements reflect not only their hard work in the classroom, but also the many ways they have contributed to life at Clayesmore, from the sports field and art studio to the stage and wider school community.
Results Day marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our Year 13 students as they head towards university, further education, apprenticeships and other new opportunities. We wish them every success as they take their next steps and embrace the opportunities ahead.
Our Year 11 students then had their own reason to celebrate with an outstanding set of GCSE results. 91.1% of grades were awarded at 9–4, significantly above the latest national average of 67.1%. There was also a notable increase in the number of pupils achieving the highest grades, with 39.7% of grades awarded at 7–9, compared with 32.7% in 2025 and well above the 2026 national average of 21.8%.
Our value-added score of +0.8 is another excellent achievement, demonstrating that, on average, Clayesmore pupils achieved almost a grade higher in each subject than would have been expected based on their prior attainment.
Rob Lane, Clayesmore Head, said: “These results reflect not only academic achievement, but the hard work, determination and ambition of our pupils and staff.”
At Clayesmore, every pupil is supported to follow their own path, building confidence and ambition along the way. These results are a wonderful reflection of the dedication of our students, staff and families.
Huge congratulations to our Year 13 and Year 11 students. We are incredibly proud of you and wish you every success for the exciting journeys ahead!
