Autumn has brought plenty of exciting activities, creative play and seasonal discoveries to our nursery children this week!
Baby Room
In Little Love Hearts, the children have been exploring the story of The Three Bears through a range of hands-on activities. They investigated porridge oats, scooping them into three different-sized bowls while learning about big, medium and little.
The children also got busy in the kitchen, making a tasty apple crumble and practising their chopping and mixing skills.
Out in the garden, they explored different temperatures by investigating frozen and room-temperature jelly in a tray with lemons and limes. This sensory activity encouraged them to discover different textures and temperatures while exploring sweet and sour flavours.

Toddler and Preschool
It has been a week full of autumn fun for our toddlers and preschoolers! Linking their cooking activity to one of their books of the week, the children made the same vegetable stew that the Gruffalo made for the Gruffalo Granny.
They have also been getting creative in preparation for our spooky Room on the Broom event, making colourful bunting using sponge printing and a wonderful selection of autumn colours.
There has been plenty of outdoor exploring, too, as the children have spent time searching for conkers and seeing who can find the brightest-coloured leaf.
From sensory discoveries and delicious cooking to autumn crafts and outdoor adventures, the children have been making the most of everything this colourful season has to offer!
