Last term Year 11 were set “The Ikondo Challenge” as part of their LEX programme. They were given a budget of £100 to improve the learning in large classes of up to 90, as experienced by the students at Ikondo.
Each group pitched their idea and the teachers and students at Ikondo voted for their favourite. The winning idea was “Mini blackboards for the classroom”. They were presented with a cheque for £100 which was sent to Ikondo.
The boards arrived at Ikondo this week and here are some pictures showing the students using them in their English lessons. They are so interested in this new way of learning.
