The 15A cricket team enjoyed a superb run in the ESCA T20 competition, finishing as County Runners-Up after a day of high-quality and competitive cricket.
In the semi-final against Canford, Clayesmore posted a strong total of 147. In reply, the bowlers and fielders executed their plans with confidence and discipline, setting up a composed and controlled run chase. A fluent and composed half-century from Will (50), well supported by Jovin, anchored the innings and guided the team to a well-earned four-wicket victory.
In the final against Ringwood, Clayesmore were asked to bat first and reached a competitive 138 for 6. Henry (50) played an excellent innings, again with valuable support from Jovin, to give the team a fighting total. Despite their efforts in the field, Ringwood made a fast start and maintained their momentum, eventually chasing down the target in the 18th over.
Although narrowly missing out on the title, the team can be extremely proud of their performances throughout the day, demonstrating skill, teamwork and resilience on their way to becoming worthy County Runners-Up.
