It is a true privilege not only to lead an early years setting, but to have the opportunity to create it from the very beginning. It feels especially meaningful as I spent part of my own childhood growing up in this wonderful village and community that has always held a special place in my heart.
With more than 20 years of experience in early years education, a degree in Childhood Studies and specialist early years qualifications, I am passionate about giving every child the very best start in life. I believe childhood should be filled with wonder, curiosity, kindness and a strong sense of belonging.
At Clayesmore Nursery, every decision has been carefully considered to create an environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. Our beautiful nursery has been thoughtfully designed to provide calm, nurturing spaces, natural resources and endless opportunities for exploration, creativity and outdoor adventure.
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. By working closely with families, we create a genuine partnership that supports every child’s unique journey. We celebrate each milestone, nurture confidence and independence, and encourage children to develop a lifelong love of learning through meaningful play and memorable experiences.
My vision is not simply to provide exceptional care and education today, but to create a nursery that leaves a lasting legacy for generations of children and families to come.
As Winnie the Pooh so beautifully said: “We didn’t realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.” Those words perfectly capture what childhood should be.
