British Boarding School Experience
The Inspired Learning Group offers a British Boarding School Experience across its schools, including Clayesmore School, Shebbear College, Saint Felix School, and St Francis College (girls only), for students aged 10–18.
Our programmes are carefully designed for international students to experience life in a British boarding school. Students are fully integrated into the daily routines at Clayesmore School, providing a genuine insight into school life in the UK. This includes attending lessons, participating in co-curricular activities, and engaging in the wider school community.
Alongside academic learning, students develop their English language skills through real-life interaction, improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a natural and supportive environment. Cultural activities further enrich the experience, helping students gain a deeper understanding of British traditions and lifestyle.
This experience builds confidence, strengthens communication skills, and supports a smooth transition into UK education. It also provides an excellent opportunity for students to form lasting friendships with peers from around the world, broadening their global perspective.
Programmes can run from one week to several weeks and are available for individual families, visiting school groups, and educational agents. As well as being a rewarding experience, this programme offers an ideal introduction for students considering full-time study at one of our schools.
