Young Entrepreneur of the Year: sponsored by Clayesmore
Clayesmore was proud to sponsor the “Young Entrepreneur” category at the recent Wiltshire Life awards and has news of the winner.
Nineteen-year-old Monty George, from Salisbury, went away with the gong in recognition of his enterprise and business nous: he set up “FurnitureBox” while still at school and is watching it heading rapidly in the direction of a £1million pound turnover.
The nature of the business is the import and retail of flat pack furniture over the internet. This web-based approach keeps his costs well down on those of competitors with a physical presence. He also ensures despatch of goods on the same day as the receipt of the order, promising a phenomenally quick turn-around that consumers increasingly expect.
We’re delighted with his win and wish him well. Sponsoring this particular category is hugely important to us at Clayesmore, tying in well, as it does, with our “find your strength” ethos and our firm approach to the promotion of business skills in our syllabus including our Business Diploma. Well done, Monty!
