Year 2 create stop-frame animation at Houser & Wirth Somerset

Year 2 spent Friday morning at Hauser & Wirth in Bruton to celebrate The Big Draw, the world’s largest drawing festival. This year’s theme for the festival is ‘Living Lines’.

The children made a huge collaborative chalkboard drawing which was then transformed into a stop-frame animation. They were thrilled to see themselves on film creating art!

They also visited different exhibitions in the gallery and made their own responses to the work they saw using a variety of media. They all had great fun with ‘serious art’.
