Tuning up the Christmas spirit with carol singing at Waitrose

Last Saturday members of the Clayesmore choir, made up of Prep Year 8 and Senior School pupils, tuned up the Christmas spirit for Saturday shoppers at Waitrose in Gillingham, singing familiar carol songs from Away in a Manger and Ding Dong Merrily on High to Good King Wenceslas. At Clayesmore we like to play a positive part in our community, and shoppers young and old were visibly delighted by the cheery melodies from our choir greeting them as they entered the store.

Warm thanks to Mr Smith, Prep School Director of Music, for conducting the choir so expertly and enthusiastically, and to all the youngsters for performing to an external audience with such refinement, warmth and poise.
