Clayesmore’s LEAP, or the academic extension programme for Year 12, took place in the last two weeks of June which were filled with an impressive array of activities. One of these was the Business LEAP Challenge in which ten teams were tasked by Mark Fisher, Chief Development Officer of Merlin Entertainment, to plan and market a new theme park.
Clayesmore’s Young Enterprise teams presenting their businesses at the annual Dragons’ Den event on Tuesday did extremely well: TIME, headed by Callum, came 1st securing £120 of the £200 investment pot available, and JigDraw, led by Tiegan, placed 3rd obtaining a £30 investment. Clayesmore thus scooped 75% of the total investment from the Dragons.
Clayesmore’s Sixth Form mathematicians are celebrating success in the Senior Maths Challenge. This is an individual competition, run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust, which is open to all students taking A-Level Maths in Years 12 and 13 in the UK.
