The Trial’, translated into English from Franz Kafka’s novel ‘Der Process’ and then adapted for the stage by Steven Berkoff, is a play like no other. It asks huge existential questions about life and loneliness, and offers little in the way of answers.

Following last week’s evocative descriptive work, Year 7 pupils from Mrs Chinnock’s English group have been reimagining Rossetti’s ‘Goblin Market’. The children performed a joint improvisation outside in our Beech Walk, and then worked in small groups to capture the main protagonist’s fate as she succumbs to the goblin fruit.

This year’s junior production, The Amazing Adventures of Superstan, was a fast moving and extremely entertaining show, with great jokes, toe-tapping songs and wonderful props, not to mention excellent performances from all Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils.
