"Much has been done, but much remains to be done", Lex Devine, Clayesmore's Founder.
Everyone who visits Clayesmore recognises that it is a very special place and a wonderful school. Pupils are known individually, abilities in all sorts of areas count and give them a sense of worth. Over the past 10 years there has been significant investment in the creation of new buildings and the enhancement and refurbishment of existing ones. This has always been born from a rationalised response to an existing and forecast need, rather than from a wish list of the "nice to haves".
Despite almost 120 years of teaching and learning, 80 of these in Iwerne Minster, Clayesmore has no endowment. Careful management of fee income has allowed us to develop our beautiful location and support deserving pupils with scholarships and bursaries. To ensure we can continue to offer the very best all-round educational experience to the next generation of Clayesmorians, we have draw up a development plan.
Our objectives should not and cannot be met through an annual increase of fees alone, moreover we believe that the long term future of the institution can be secured far earlier than may otherwise be possible through support across the Clayesmore community: Old Clayesmorians, parents, former parents, friends, staff and governors.
