Spring chicks putting on a performance

On a very wintery afternoon the Clayesmore Nursery and Pre-Prep entertained family and friends with a variety of performances.

The Nursery children showed off amazing rhythm and co-ordination skills beating their sticks to the music. Reception Class were celebrating the arrival of their first chick which had hatched that day, and show off their further knowledge on a variety of other animals that hatched from an egg. Year 1 had made up their own exciting dragon poems, and Year 2 told poems and shared facts about penguins.

Three after school club groups performed, with the pop dancers jiving, the ballerinas displaying their elegance and the famous Smarties Percussion group performing Ten Thousand Miles. Seven pianists also played short solo pieces with great confidence.

What an entertaining hour, celebrating the children’s work with fun and laughter.
