Semi-final place for U13 Boys’ Hockey Team in National Competition

U13 Hockey

Our U13A boys’ hockey team are celebrating reaching the semi-final stages of the regional finals of the National In2Hockey Championships held at Millfield School last week. Representing Dorset, the team played brilliant in the group stages, overcoming a strong Cheltenham College team 4-1 in the quarter final, after scoring three goals in the first three minutes.

They were eventually knocked out by Dean Close, who have already won this year’s IAPS National Finals. Commenting on their performance, David Boyle, President of the Dorset Boys Schools and Youth Hockey Association, described the team as “excellent ambassadors for the county, as well as the school”. Head of Boys Games, Mr Tom Manley added “The boys were fantastic and should be extremely proud of their efforts, the school certainly is.”
