Reading across the genres with Clayesmore’s Reading Passport
This term has seen the launch of the Clayesmore Reading Passport by the Senior School English department. Designed to encourage pupils from all year groups to read for pleasure, each student has been given their own passport.
Split across eight different literary genres, the passport contains suggested books for each and the option to choose one of your own titles. Pupils read at least two books from each genre and answer two short questions to gain a stamp and progress onto the next one. Once the passport is completed they can claim a (reading-related) prize.
The genres are:
- War/ Conflict
- Satire/ Comedy
- Adventure/ Journey
