Thursday 12 & Friday 13 October: “167”

An Orwellian, cautionary tale for the Twitter generation’.

Imagine a world where the authorities have literally limited the number of words each citizen can speak a day. Words, the very instruments of communication, have been turned into a valuable commodity. How would society change? How would people love, hate, merely exist without words?

This dystopian thriller explores the way in which communication affects every facet of our lives and imagines what would happen if words were limited.

The play has been written and directed by Year 12 student, Shannon.
