Prep pupils produce poetry from book titles
Clayesmore Prep Year 4 celebrated National Poetry Day by composing poems using the titles of books from the library. It is a brilliant way of making poetry fun and accessible to children.
Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed “writing” their poetry, and no doubt discovered some new books in our library at the same time. The pupils then read out their poems to the class, getting some valuable public recital practice, too.
