OC Daria is Buckingham University’s Student Happiness Champion
We are delighted to announce that one of last year’s leavers, Daria Ermolenko (2013-2017), has been appointed the Student Happiness Champion at the University of Buckingham. A former prefect, Daria is studying English and Psychology there and is also President of the English Society and Vice-President of the Psychology Society. Her role as Happiness Champion involves her working closely with the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Sir Anthony Seldon, and the charity Action for Happiness, to promote student welfare, with particular regard to student mental health.
Speaking on Thursday, Daria said, “Clayesmore gave me such a complete preparation for life at university, especially the boarding side of things. I left school having already learned the skills necessary to live close by other people, having developed some amazing friendships.”
This is a fantastic achievement in her first year and we are hoping to arrange for her to come and speak to students about her work in this important area.
