National success for Clayesmore’s equestrians

Equestrian Success

Clayesmore pupils have been enjoying a flurry of successes across different equestrian disciplines in recent weeks.

At the end of April Year 9 pupil, Tamsin was reserve champion at the MOVIE Barrell Championships held in Warwickshire. MOVIE is a horse-shaped training apparatus for equestrian vaulters that imitates a horse’s canter. At the same time her Year 11 sister Jemima, won her first Dressage competition at advanced medium level on her horse, Sir Willy.

Then this weekend Year 12 pupil, Jess, had an incredibly successful weekend at Rockingham Castle International Horse Trials where she competed on three horses. Coming first on Mounttemple Mistress in the International CCI2*S, a respectable 16th in the Junior (U18) National Championships on Murphy May and 7th on Diamond Bobby in the OIU21 (Junior/U18 Trial).

Congratulations to all three girls on these great achievements.
