Prep learning ‘All about Me’ with the Life Education Team
This year again, staff from the Life Education Team gave a session to our pupils from Nursery through to Year 7. Clayesmore Prep’s Head of PSHE, Mrs Heather Bignold, writes:
“Pupils from Nursery and Reception found out ‘All About Me’; Years 1 and 2 thought about ‘Feelings’; Year 3 and 4 were finding out how to look after their bodies in ‘It’s Great to be Me’; Year 5 thought about ‘Friends’ and Year 6 looked at the complexity of making decisions.
“We feel that the education they provide is a valuable addition to that delivered through our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) curriculum, and also reinforces some of our Attitudes to Learning such as being Collaborative, Courageous and Curious. We are very grateful to the Parents’ Association for funding this visit once again.
“The Life Education Team staff were very complimentary about our pupils, saying how well-behaved they were, and what high levels of discussion they were able to have with them. We were all thrilled to see Harold the Giraffe again, and are hoping he will be back to see us all again next year.”
