A golden discovery in the Beech Walk

Unsure as to what might have laid it they sensibly reported their find to Mr Dunlop who, after inspecting the site, instructed the children to cordon off the area and telephone experts at the Natural History Museum for advice. Due to the cold weather predicted over the next few days their instructions were to carefully retrieve the egg and keep it warm indoors. Year 1 are concerned that it may be a dragon’s egg as there were broken branches in the vicinity and scorch marks. Have we done the right thing?! Watch this space for further updates.
