Former Head Boy heads for footballing glory

Former Head Boy, Will Betts (Gate, 2019), before taking up his place at Cardiff next Autumn to read History and Economics, has just signed a contract with Salisbury FC! Head of Boys’ Games, Dan Conway, asked him what he’d been up to:
“I have been with the club for three years now, having been a part of the development side and U21s. This year, I was asked to join the first team through their pre-season and train once a week, with two starts in two of the pre-season games. After the final game of pre-season, I was asked to sign a contract for the club.
“Since then I have been named in the squad for three league matches, whilst also making the team for the first round of the FA cup, where we won 3-2 against Thatcham Town.
“Training under Steve Claridge and taking in all of his advice has already allowed me to learn a lot and with the season only a few games in, I am looking forward to what the rest of it has to offer.”
