Innovation, Sustainability and Creative Problem-Solving at Clayesmore We offer international students an inspiring introduction to British innovation, craftsmanship and sustainable design. Set within our well-equipped DT facilities, this hands-on experience develops creativity, technical confidence and forward-thinking skills — preparing students for a future shaped by innovation and environmental responsibility. Designing for a ChangingWorld Guided by experienced Clayesmore staff, students move through the full design process: • Researching real-world challenges • Generating and refining ideas • Developing technical drawing and modelling skills • Constructing and testing a final prototype Throughout the programme, students are encouraged to think critically about how design can contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly: • SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure • SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production • SDG 13 – Climate Action Sustainability and material choice are central themes, encouraging students to consider environmental impact alongside functionality and aesthetics.
