Year 11 pupil Issy passes England Hockey Umpiring assessment

Year 11 pupil, Issy, is celebrating this week after passing her England Hockey Level 1 Umpiring assessment. As part of her training, Issy has umpired several girls and boys fixtures at school, and also mens and ladies fixtures for local clubs. The accreditation comprises five modules including an online rules test and sections on player management and preparation and the role of the umpire in the game and is led by accredited England Hockey tutors. Issy will now form part of England Hockey’s umpire development programme.

Head of Girls Games, Miss Andrea Cheverton, commented “This is an excellent achievement which requires a great deal of commitment and effort. We are very proud of her achievement.”

Well done, Issy.
