Dorset County swimming success for Clayesmore Prep Pupils

While many of their classmates were enjoying an exeat lie-in, eleven pupils from Clayesmore Prep were representing North Dorset at the Dorset County Swim Finals.

With a total of 250 Year 5 and 6 pupils competing at the event, the competition was very close and the standard of swimming was very high. The pupils really enjoyed the gala and there were some excellent results. Particular congratulations to the Year 6 boys relay team who swam who came second in the Freestyle Relay and third in the Mixed, Year 5 boys who came second in the Freestyle Relay, and to Charlie who won both his individual events (Butterfly and Frontcrawl), Lottie (second in the 50m Backstroke) and Portia (third in the 50m Frontcrawl).

Swimming Director, Ali Pickford, adds, “In years gone by North Dorset have come sixth or seventh but this year as we had such a strong side they came third.”

Well done to all.
