Clayesmore’s Senior Boys take top honours in County Cross Country Championships

Clayesmore’s Cross Country team are celebrating success at this year’s County Schools Cross Country Championships. Held at King’s Park, Bournemouth on 11 January, Clayesmore sent a record 28 runners to the event who achieved some great times across the competitions. 

The result of the day goes to the Senior Boys team of Conor, Angus, Fred and Tom, who were confirmed as the County team champions for the fourth consecutive year, with the Intermediate Boys coming 4th, the Intermediate Girls the and the Junior Boys and Junior Girls 13th and 11th respectively. 

Notable individual performances came from Josh (5th Intermediate Boy), and Conor (7th Senior Boy).

We are also pleased to announce that three pupils (Conor, Alex and Josh) have been selected to represent Dorset at the South West Schools Cross Country Championships on 2 February, with a further three of our runners holding reserve places (Fred, Tom and Elsa)
