Clayesmore pupils raise funds for charity

Charity Fundraising

Clayesmore pupils of all ages have been raising funds for a number of charities in recent weeks:

The Prep School’s Charity Afternoon held in early March saw pupils running laps of the playing fields for 30 minus in aid of CLIC Sargent. Despite boggy ground and strong winds, they covered a fantastic 443 miles (or 713 kilometres), the distance from Clayesmore to Loch Lomond, raising over £1000 in the process.

The following week the Senior School musicians entertained a packed Chapel at their annual Charity Showcase Concert, with a number of the school’s ensembles performing everything from Strauss to Ed Sheeran, and a retiring collection raised £314.41. This will be split between two school charities; CLIC Sargent and Out of Afrika

Lastly, the sale of Red Nose Cupcakes baked and decorated by our wonderful Catering Department raised a fantastic £373 for Comic Relief.

Thank you to all those who participated and donated.
