Clayesmore leads in Government League Tables
Clayesmore was confirmed as one of the top independent schools in the South West in terms of progress made by students at A-level, according to the government league tables published last week.
With a progress (or value added) score of 0.35, the Clayesmore cohort of 84 students in 2018 falls in the “well above average” range.
Commenting on the results Head, Jo Thomson said, ‘These results confirm what we have always known; that excellent results are simply the by-product of great teaching, a strong understanding of pedagogy and an unfailing belief in every child’s ability to keep developing academically. Most important, perhaps, is that these results show that academic success can be achieved in a stress free atmosphere that prioritises warmth, kindness and service to others.’
