The Field Mortar

At last weekend’s Remembrance services, the School recognised, as it always does, the sacrifices made by Old Clayesmorians in all wars. Central to this was the Field Mortar; a gift from the War Office to the School in 1919, in memory of the high proportion of OCs who gave their lives in WWI.

Golfing Greats

The Old Clayesmorian/Clayesmore Society Golf Day was held this year at Remedy Oak, a qualifying course for The Open, tucked away in beautiful and ancient woodlands, with a super clubhouse and facilities.

Ladies Hockey: OCs vs the School

It’s a tradition that the morning after the Late Summer Party, a group of eager Old Clayesmorians meets the School’s First XI for a fierce stand off on the Astro.

The annual shebang saw a strong OC team defending the Society’s honour, rather helped by the inclusion of some powerful players who have only just left the Sixth Form.

Late Summer Party

Here at Clayesmore, we always like to start the new academic year with a bang, so we host a nice party in a stripey marquee, guzzle fizz and canapés and enjoy an eye-watering fireworks display.

Channel Islands Reunion

Last weekend, Old Clayesmorian, Stuart Henley (1960 – 1963) and his wife, Bridget, very kindly opened the doors of their house in St Peter Port, Guernsey, to a gaggle of OCs, former parents and current staff.
