BTEC Hospitality – on the Beach

Year 12 Hospitality students visited the multi award-winning Pig on the Beach at Studland recently.

As part of their project on Customer Service which focuses on the role of communication, presentation and teamwork, they met Deputy Manager, Luke, who described the hotel’s “garden to plate” philosophy, where as much produce as possible is grown in the onsite gardens, and the remainder sourced from a 25 mile radius. Students toured the facilities including the outside pizza oven and roundhouse and guest rooms, before enjoying mock-tails and a fantastic three course lunch.
