A level and BTEC Results 2019
This year, Clayesmore celebrated another fantastic set of A Level and BTEC results.
We are delighted that our students achieved top grades in subjects such as Mathematics, Economics, Art & Design and Modern Foreign Languages and in certain A Level subjects, students achieved an average of 1.75 grades above their baseline predictions. It is this ‘added value’ that demonstrates our pupils perform better at Clayesmore than they would at other schools.
The results of those pupils who took BTECs were also extremely impressive. Over 70% achieved Distinction or Distinction * and these grades played an integral role in securing many pupils a place at their first choice university.
We are also thrilled to share some of our university courses and destinations this year, which include: Business Economics at Cardiff, Mathematics at Queen’s College, Oxford, Chemistry at Manchester, Sports Science at Bath, Law at Exeter and more uniquely, Fashion at Parsons Paris.
As usual, many Clayesmore students will take up places at Russell Group institutions studying a wide range of subjects; a reflection of the broad Sixth Form curriculum available and the personalised approach to teaching and learning that enables all students to fulfil their ambitions, in whatever sphere that happens to be.
Head, Jo Thomson, said: “We are delighted at the outcome of this year’s A Level and BTEC results, which is testament to the dedication and commitment of the teachers here at Clayesmore as well as the hard work, determination and resilience of the students. I couldn’t be prouder of any of them.”
