Chris Humpage: Director of Sport & Enterprises
Qualifications: BA Hons, PGCE.
Chris was formerly Assistant Director in the Department of Sports Development at Bath University and has represented Great Britain in Modern Pentathlon, Wild Water Canoeing, Triathlon and Surf Life Saving. Chris is responsible for the development of sport at the school as well as the school’s commercial enterprises.Daniel Ekema: Sports Centre Manager

Started as Sports Centre Manager in Oct 2008. He was previously a Duty Officer with responsibilities for Kayaking and Plantroom Operations at Clayesmore Sports Centre up until Sept 2005. He then progressed to Ringwood Health and Leisure as a Duty Manager to gain a more advanced level of experience in Leisure and Management, which also covered Fitness Management.Ali Pickford: Director of Swimming
Qualifications: ASA Swim Teacher, Level 1 & 2 & ASA Club Coach
Ali is a full time member of the team and her role is overseeing the running of the entire swim programme. She teaches all abilities and ages and is also a coach for the Clayesmore Swim ClubAngela Elms: Admin Manager/Swim Teacher
Qualifications: ASA Swim Teacher, Level 1 & 2. ASA Parent & Child Certificate. ASA Timekeepers Certificate. Angela is a full time member of staff at the Sports Centre as Administration officer, but also takes a very active role in the swimming department. Angela teaches the parent & pre-school lessons during the term time and is also available for private lessons during the holidays.

Tim: Duty Officer – Operations and Activities
Tim’s primary role is as a duty officer with responsibilities for Holiday Activities, Birthday Parties and Football Courses.Jeremy: Duty Officer – Technical and Kayaking
Qualifications: BCU L1 Kayak Coach
Jeremy’s primary role is as a duty officer with responsibilities for Plant Room maintenance, Kayaking lessons, climbing sessions and running the outdoor pursuits courses. His main interests are mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, camping, sailing and exploring.Zack: Duty Officer – Fitness Qualifications: YMCA L3 Advanced Fitness Instructor
Zack’s primary role is as a duty officer with responsibilities for the Fitness Department. He is an enthusiatic and motivated team member with a wide range of experience as a personal trainer. He is passionate about fitness and takes pride in helping others realise their life goals. He specialises in cardiovascular fitness, weight management and health and well-being coaching.Kelly: Duty Officer – Operations and Swimming
Qualifications: ASA Swim Teacher, Level 1 & 2. Kelly’s primary role is as a duty officer with responsibilities for First Aid and Internal Advertising, but also assists with children’s lesson on the Learn to Swim Programme and is available for private lessons during the school holidays.Mike: Duty Officer, Fitness Instructor and Swim Teacher Mike is a part time duty officer with duties in swim teaching and fitness classes. He is also the centre’s Staff Trainer.

- Julie: Group exercise class Instructor Julie has taught a wide range of exercise classes since qualifying in 1995 including aerobics, step, body conditioning, circuits and aquafit. Currently training to become a physiotherapist, she is an advocate of regular activity to maintain health from childhood through to old age. Julie's classes encompass a 'whole body' approach and, as such, are designed to work the heart and lungs as well as the major muscle groups. Posture and balance are also incorporated into each class. Education is a feature of Julie's classes because if a client understands how their body works, they are better informed to make the most of their exercise class.
Swim Team
Ali Pickford: Director of Swimming

Qualifications: ASA Swim Teacher, Level 1 & 2 & ASA Club Coach. ASA Timekeepers and Judges Certificate Lyn assists Ali in the running if the swim programme and is responsible for the adult beginner lessons and is the Head Coach for the Adult Swim Fit training. Lyn is also a coach for the Clayesmore Swim Club.Paul Gowing: Head Coach
Qualifications: ASA Swim Teacher, Level 1 & 2 & ASA Club Coach Paul has over 15 years competitive swim coaching experience Paul was previously the Coach of the Poole Dolphin Swimming Club before joining Clayesmore. Whilst Paul’s main role is Head Coach for the Clayesmore Swimming Club, he really enjoys coaching and is a very valued member of the teaching team on the Learn to Swim Programme.
