An exceptionally varied and exciting programme of activities is in operation every week with timetabled sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Activities also spill over into evening sessions and weekends.

From year 10, pupils can opt to embark on the much coveted Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, starting with their bronze award and working towards gold during the Sixth Form. The Combined Cadet Force, offering both Army and Air Force sections is well supported by pupils, providing excellent opportunities to develop team building and leadership skills which are of immeasurable value. Activities include fieldwork, orienteering, assault courses, rifle ranges, flying lessons and camping expeditions. The CCF is tremendously popular and pupils often continue in the CCF right the way through to Sixth Form.

A wide and varied programme of alternative activities is offered to those who choose not to join the CCF. This includes: the Bronze Medallion Life Saving Award, a First Aid Course, a Hockey Umpiring Course, Fundraising, Volunteering and charity awareness.
