Clayesmore's Tracy Cook is a golden girl in Spain
Congratulations to head of girls' games Tracy Cook who has won a Gold Medal at the ITU Long Distance World Championships, held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, at the end of July. Tracy won her age group category and had the second fastest female time of the entire group, beating 10 of the 18 elite athletes competing and placing her 105th out of a mixed field of 1000 competitors (3/4 of whom were male). Tracy now goes on to compete at the Ironman Wales Competition in September to try and gain selection for the Kona Ironman World Championships in 2013.
