In the magnificent and ancient setting of Salisbury Cathedral, twenty-two girls and boys from across the year groups were confirmed on Saturday by the Bishops of Salisbury and Sherborne and Honorary Assistant Bishop, the Right Revd David Hallatt.

Friends and family had travelled from across the world to join a large congregation of supporters at the cathedral for this moving service. Clayesmore’s candidates had been prepared by Father Justin Pottinger.

After the final blessing, those who had been confirmed led the congregation out through the great west doors to the sound of Bach on Salisbury’s famous Father Willis organ and into the last rays of sunset that bathed the west front of the cathedral. Clayesmore’s candidates are shown with the Right Revd Nicholas Holtam, Bishop of Salisbury, and Father Pottinger.
