A Great Week for Athletics
Clayesmore Athletes have excelled at the County & South West Schools Athletics Championships this week. 12 boys and girls were selected to compete for North Dorset at the Dorset County Schools Championship held at Kings Park Athletics Stadium. These athletes gained two 4th places, four bronze medals with Charlie Patrick, Steffi Wilson, Archie Parks and Megan Fry becoming County Champions.
Following these Championships, Charlie Patrick, Steffi Wilson and Megan Fry were selected to represent Dorset at the South West Schools Athletics Championships held at Exeter Arena. The South West Schools Championships is the second biggest Athletics competition of the year, so it was a great achievement when all of the Clayesmore athletes qualified for the finals of their events. Steffi Wilson gained 6th place in the Intermediate Girls 200 metres, Charlie Patrick gained 5th place in the Senior Boys 200 metres and Megan Fry gained 6th place in the Intermediate Girls 100 metres and 2nd in the 80 metres hurdles
