Healthy Eating

A great deal of importance is placed on providing the right kind of nourishment for children while they are at school. The aim is to provide a balanced diet of quality food and drinks so that children are satisfied and happy to get on with their day.

Every lunch time the children walk across the grounds to the main school dining hall where they sit at the table and enjoy a hot, healthy lunch, freshly coked that day, followed by a pudding. Vegetables are, of course, a feature but the school caterers also ensure there is enough variety and lots of tasty options to appeal to young children.

Drinks and healthy snacks, including a liberal sprinkling of fruit, are served to the children at mid-morning and afternoon breaks and those who stay on for after school have sandwiches, tea-time type cakes and buns to keep energy levels going.
