Clayesmore Pre-Prep and Prep School celebrated World Book Day in style this week, as part of the National Year of Reading. Pupils right across the school from the Nursery to Year 8 dressed as their favourite book characters, with prizes being awarded for the most original costumes. Among the representations were Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Snow Queen.

At a special assembly lead by co-organiser Head of English & Drama, Mrs Suzanne Chinnock, representatives from across the years shared their favourite reads with their classmates. Each pupil will receive a book voucher as part of the day, which looks set to become an annual event in the school calendar.
