Musicians Prepare for the Busiest Season Yet!
After last term’s success at the Salisbury Festival, where many Prep pupils were awarded honours, distinctions or highly commended ratings for their performances, the music scholars and exhibitionists began the annual ‘Music in the Month of May’ recital series with a superb concert.
Jack Blakey, Tom Highnam, George Hewett, Stacey Newlin and Monica Budzynski all gave polished performances of difficult classical and jazz repertoire – an amazing achievement for pupils in Year 6 & 7.
There are many more concerts taking place throughout May and June, such as the ever popular ‘Picnic in the Park’ Jazz Festival, and a Boogie Woogie Night, featuring the Julian Phillips Trio who will be performing with some of the pupils.
