Clayesmore Drama students are celebrating this week as the results of the LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) have come in recording an impressive 10 distinctions, 32 merits and 20 passes.

Amy Ahier (9) and Tashy Fenston (18) are Clayesmore’s youngest and oldest LAMDA Distinction Winners. Amy was awarded top marks for a poetry recital, and Tashy for Grade 8 Devised Theatre.

Says LAMDA teacher, Toby Yarwood: “The LAMDA programme has become increasingly popular across the school at Clayesmore from the youngest years up. To achieve so many Distinctions and 50% of our grades at Merit is a testimony to the talent and hard work of these pupils, many of whom were, at the time, also studying for GCSE and A level examinations.”
