Boarding at Clayesmore
Boarding life at Clayesmore Prep School closely resembles the atmosphere and diversity of a busy, loving and happy family, but with the advantage that you are surrounded by friends 24 hours a day! Over 70 girls and boys board at the Prep School and are cared for by devoted House Parents with a team of matrons, nursing staff and tutors, whose focus is to provide a home-from-home environment. The House Parents and their children live at the end of the boarding house and the Head of Prep and his wife have a house adjacent to the building and are fully involved in the children's boarding lives and activities.
Clayesmore offers happy and successful full and part-time boarding. Pupils have every opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities in the evenings along with trips and outings at the weekends. There are two planned Exeats each term when school finishes on Friday afternoon, allowing the children a full weekend at home.
The boarding house comprises girls’ and boys’ shared bedrooms, each individually and brightly decorated. The common rooms are comfortable places where children can relax and spend time together and there is a well equipped boarders’ kitchen where evening snacks and hot drinks can be prepared by staff.
