Recent Developments

The past decade has seen significant investment in both the creation of new buildings and the enhancement and refurbishment of existing ones -

The Jubilee Building - 2002

A state of the art, purpose built academic block for the teaching of Science, ICT and Learning Support, complete with laboratory and prep space, computer suites, individual study rooms and lecture theatre. This building was designed to complement the existing Gate House building by local architect Philip Proctor and was officially opened by Baroness Warnock in 2002.

The Spinney Centre - 2005

The Spinney Centre is named after Old Clayesmorian and former Chairman of Governors Ronald Spinney and was opened in 2005. This block contains teaching classrooms for Business Studies, Economics, Geography, a forum study area with computers for student use and also houses the Staff Room and offices for the Deputy Heads and Director of Studies.

New Pre-Prep & Nursery Building - 2007

Located alongside each other in brand new classrooms, the Pre-Prep and Nursery Building was opened in 2007 and nestles amongst the trees in the Clayesmore parkland, providing a secure and secluded environment for the youngest Clayesmorians including their own all-weather play area in which those all important formative years of education can begin.

Everett Building - 2008

Named after the Prep School's founder, RAL Everett, the Prep School's academic flagship building was opened in September 2008 and contains teaching rooms for Years 3 and 4, Geography and two Science Laboratories.
